Yesterday we went over to Stone Mountain in Georgia - a wonderful piece of granite that sticks straight out of the ground. Usually you can go up the mountain in the cable car but it was out of service yesterday. At the top of the mountain you can see plants and trees that have managed to germinate and grow in the tiniest crack in the rock - well probably not too many of them in February.
We did stay around for the glass blowing though. The glass lady made a pumpkin. These are stored until fall when the big pumpkin festival arrives. Summer is too busy to make them, so they get a head start on them in the off season.
What they did have though were these wonderful little paperweights that had flowers inside. This one had a rose and some trumpetvine flowers. So delicate in the glass.
